Blending a selection into background

1. In Galaincha, load a design that has a foreground element over a background. For this example, the ‘Maze’ layer seen below is the foreground element we want to blend into the ‘Design’ layer in the background.

2. Select layer bounds of the ‘Maze’ layer by Ctrl + Left Clicking it in the Layers panel.

3. Go to Image > Effects > Feather > Transparency

4. In the ‘Transparency’ dialog box that pops up, adjust the ‘Feather’ slider as required.

5. Click ‘OK’

Note: After using this image effect, the design will need to be processed further to make it weavable.
