Creating Repeatable Design Based on Reference Image

• Open the reference image in Galaincha and resize the image as per the specification needed.

• Select the new layer and start tracing the pattern using pencil tool or Line/curve tool. Remember to zoom in the canvas area to make it more visible while tracing.
• Explore the tools from the tool box (Brush Tool , Pencil tool , Line / curve tool and Paint bucket ) to check which makes it easy for tracing the different parts of the pattern. It is not necessary to stick to just one tool.

                 

• Select the Rectangular selection tool and make a quarter selection of the pattern  from the center of the pattern.
• Now select the mirror tool and mirror it all direction (Apply Mirror > All Direction > All Immediate option) 
• Select the pattern using the magic wand tool and Copy (Ctrl + C) and Paste (Ctrl + V) arranging them according to reference image. 

          

• Now make the rectangular selection, so that both patterns’ quarter part could be selected at once.
• During the selection, use the color picker tool to pick the color from the design and fill the selected area to make it similar as original.

                       

• Once the colors have been assigned, select the mirror tool again and mirror it all direction.     (Apply Mirror > All Direction > All Immediate option) to make the selected area repeatable.

        

• Now select the repeatable area then select replicate tool and repeat the pattern all over the canvas. (Apply Replicate >> Allover)
