Applying Carving Effect for the Motifs

To apply carving effect to any particular motif in your design, follow these steps.

1 Open the design, select the area of the motifs with its surroundings and place it in a new layer.

2 Now turn off the visibility of the background layer.

3 Go to CarpeTools >> Visualisation, Apply carving effect and save the image in .png file format

4 Now turn on the visibility of the background layer,  goto Visualisation and save the normal visualisation image in .jpg file format

5 Now open both Visualisation images, Create a new layer and place the carved visualisation image on top of the normal visualisation image

6 Now hold Ctrl key and click on the top layer that has carving effect. It will select all the components of that layer

7 Go to Image >> Effect >> Feather >> Transparency set the Feather value between 30 to 50

8 Click ok and save the image in .jpg file format
