Striated Effect for Carpet

Steps:

Open the damask type design or other patterned design in Galaincha.

Select the Magic Wand Tool  , hold Shift Key and click on background color to select entire background area and delete it.

                    

Create a new layer.

Make the layer with main design invisible.

Now move the new layer just below the main design.

                    

Note:  To move the layer down, select the layer that you want to move down, then go to layer properties   and select the option Move Layer Down  .

Go to CarpeTools >> Create >> Irregular >> Clouds.

Set the 'Scale' value to 50 and 'Roughness' value to 50 and click 'OK'.

Now go to CarpeTools >> Clean >> Art to Graph.

Set the number of colors to 2, click on Automatic option and finally click 'OK' and close the Art to Graph Window.

Then go to CarpeTools >> Modify >> Interlace Edges.

Set the 'Amount' Value to 1000 and 'Thickness' Value to 1 and click 'OK'.

Again, go to CarpeTools >> Clean >> Clean Layer.

Click on 'SINGLE DOTS' and 'SINGLE KNOTS' option and click on 'OK'.

Now, press Ctrl + A to select the entire Striated effect design and copy it. Select the design file and paste it below the main design layer.
